Kevin Chui

Kevin Chui holds Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada, Postgraduate Diploma of Education from the Education University of Hong Kong (formerly known as the Hong Kong Institute of Education), and Master of Arts in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. CHUI received vocal training from Heather Thomson-Price and Helen Chen Lee, as well as choral and orchestral conducting training from Bruce Pullan, J. Scott Goble, Bruce Dunn, and Patrick Chiu in Hong Kong. During his studies, CHUI performed as soloists and in choirs in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

 

He has also performed as an actor, music director, composer, and lyricist in both mainstream theatrical productions and in Vancouver Fringe Festival. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he served as assistant music director for musicals, conductor of district children choirs and of college choirs. CHUI is now a music teacher and founding conductor for the secondary school choir at Pui Kiu College and conductor of the Pui Kiu Alumni Association - Long Yuen Choir. He is also the lead vocalist-keyboardist of a blue-rock band.
